She gently tugged her hand from his, staring up at him for a long moment before she looked away. "My husband is here," she said very quietly, so that he could barely hear it. "Surely you must know that things were... odd. While everyone was gone. Surely?"
She licked her lips, and apparently it didn't matter that she hadn't really mentioned her husband before - that she had one, or anything else. She didn't explain, didn't say who he was, just... surely he must have known that things had changed.
